yeah~ so cheap i would say.. i just could not believe me and kj would be so stupid in the first place to sell ourselves at such a low price. maybe we are on sale just like the great singapore sale..
working at the retail industry is tough i must say. we must report to work as early as 10am every day, then we either set up the shop or set up the booth at the atrium. clean up the place and stuff. the worst thing about retail was the standing part. we got to stand the whole day from morning 10am to night 10pm (full 10 hours). this was so tiring. it was even worst than an army parade. while standing, we got to serve customers and fold clothes. haha. i had been folding tons of clothes for the past few days. and the moment i reached home, i was damn shagged and got knocked out straight away. meals were very random too. we got to eat at very random timings and we could even have lunch and dinner at 3 hours apart. thats bad. lucky for me and kj, we survived the whole week.
throughout the working period, we got to know some good friends and some mean managers in the company. the people there were great and next time i could get discounts from them.
we also got to meet some weird customers:
customer #1:
uncle : is this tee for guys or for girls? (holding up the tee)
i : (almost going to reply him)
uncle : aiya, i think you also dont know de lah.. (walked off..)
i : (stunned)
customer #2:
lady : how much is this ar?
i : $9.
lady : so expensive? i thought it is a sales?
i : yeah. the usual price is $29 (showed her the price tag)
lady : dont tell me the usual price, sales should be very cheap like $2 or $3.
i : (walked off..)
customer #3:
this funny mum came to me with her son(about sec 4, highly pro in english and big size, like those rich kid).
lady : hey, boy, this jacket is nice! (tried it on her son)
son : (smiled to me)
i : (smiled)
lady : is this nice anot? (asked me)
i : erm.. yeah (looking for a nicer one since i feel the one she tried is not that good)
i : how about this? the material is good and it looked nice too. it is size L.
lady : hmm.. this is nice too (tired it on son)
son :(smiled)
lady : do you have a mirror?
i : sorry we dont have a mirror.
lady : hey son son come come, we go into the shop to see the mirror. (she and her embarrassed son went into the nearest shop with our clothes to view the mirror)
i : (stunned and follow them just in case)
hahah. lucky its the end of my assignment. its now time for relaxation. till then~
